Is Animal Crossing Globetrotter Real? (It Isn't)

A recent "leak" "revealed" a new Animal Crossing game for the Switch, titled Globetrotter. The leak has two pictures, which I'll show in a little bit. Unlike we see with most of these supposed leaks, we don't have any details about this game that we can't see in these pictures.
The pictures used here were taken with a camera. What I don't understand is why a legitimate leaker wouldn't have used the "share" button to take a clear screenshot. Even if the picture was legitimately taken from a Switch I don't see why that wouldn't have been done, unless the picture is too obviously faked when a clear screenshot is shown.

Immediately the HUD looked suspicious to me. it looks pretty much exactly like the clock in New Leaf, but it is slightly different. New Leaf has the second ring cut off, while the Globetrotter clock has two full rings and a portion of a third.
New Leaf's clock only shows one full ring

Upon further inspection, the clock seems to be taken from Animal Crossing Plaza on the Wii U, which also features two full rings and a partial third. The date, however, has slightly more space than Plaza's, and the font is different, most notably on the 6.

I'm also questioning the grass in the bottom left corner of the picture. Buildings in Animal Crossing have always had dirt or stone around them rather than grass, or at least by the entrance.

Unfortunately it's hard to determine other similarities with the clock due to the angle of the Globetrotter picture.

I also find the lighting of both pictures to be suspicious. Dynamic shadows would be new for the Animal Crossing series, which makes them hard to debunk. My question is, why is it so bright at 6 PM? New Leaf makes not only the sky much darker, but it also makes the terrain much more of a dark blue color.

The lighting of the title screen picture is really only questionable because of how late the picture had to be taken. The camera always tries to lock onto an animal when on the title screen, but when few animals are awake, the camera will wander freely, which is what appears to be happening in that picture. My question is, why would one picture be taken at 6 PM and the other one be taken several hours later? It's not solid evidence that it's fake, but it should raise a few questions.

The title itself has been called into question by other people for only being one word, which appears to go against the trend of two word names, those being Population Growing, Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf, but this is ignoring other regions. In Europe, "City Folk" was called "Let's Go the City".

I myself am skeptical about the title, but mostly because of the font used. It appears to be the exact same font used in the "Animal Crossing" part of the logo, which hasn't ever been done. Wild World was close, but had a difference in the "r" they used.

I also question why the piece of wood that's holding the word "Globetrotter" is so short. The "r" at the end has barely any room after it. Much like the other things I've mentioned, this doesn't specifically rule out the leak, but it does make the logo look a bit sloppy.

I feel like the biggest piece of evidence against this leak is that many of the assets used appear to have been taken from New Leaf or one of the spinoff games that use the same assets, but we saw something very similar with City Folk reusing many assets from Wild World. The exception being the clock, which was changed between Wild World and City Folk, but not much New Leaf and Globetrotter.

I wish there was more conclusive evidence toward this being real or fake. I'm leaning in the direction of fake, largely due to the clock being taken from Animal Crossing Plaza, but the change in font makes me question if it was Nintendo being lazy or the leaker. Either way, we'll find out how real this is at E3.

You can find all the screenshots used in this Imgur album.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the Globetrotter leak is fake.
