Smash Bros Ultimate 3.0 Update News | When, What, and How

A recent video released by Nintendo showcases the 3.0 Update for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, which has been teased by them for awhile. Here's all you need to know about the update.

When:

The update launches on April 17th in North America. It will likely launch at some point in the morning, but no specific time is mentioned.

What:

The update contains the following features:

-Joker (Paid) Joker is a new fighter which represents the Persona series.

-Mementos (Paid) Mementos is a new stage which represents the Persona series. The music during the fight will change the way the stage looks. The stage also brings new music from various games in the Personal series.

-Mii Costumes (Paid) The Persona series and the Sonic the Hedgehog series are getting various Mii costumes, which will be sold for 75 cents each.

-Stage Builder (Free) This feature allows people to create custom stages, either with the touch screen in handheld or tabletop mode or with a controller. Creators will be able to add moving parts and control the layer of what they place. Levels can also be shared with others, though an online membership is required.

-Video Editing (Free) Replays can now be edited together using a simple video editor. You can also share videos with others. An online membership is required.

-Online App Integration (Free) Players will now be able to use the Nintendo Switch Online app for smartphones to download levels, view videos, and create spirit teams using spirits gathered in game. This feature likely requires an online membership.
